"I first heard about 121exercise from a flyer that was popped through my door. From my first training session Rob introduced me to exercise at a gentle pace to start with and then we increased the rate as time went on.
I train with Rob twice a week and we run to the local park and do different exercises there for my whole body and then run back to my house and exercise with weights, gym ball and mini trampoline in my garage. We have now started boxing and kickboxing, which is different and I find it really rewarding.
This is the only way I can manage to keep fit as I have tried gym membership and using my equipment in the garage, but never find the motivation to get started, so the only way I can keep fit is to get someone to knock on my door and make me do it.
My working week is not a standard one as I travel a lot. I am not sure where I will be in any given day so its good that Rob is so flexible and he makes the sessions interesting by changing the exercise routine. I find Rob really encouraging and supportive and I always feel good after my exercise sessions."

"I have been training with Rob for over 2 years now after meeting him whilst he worked at Fitness First Portsmouth. No matter where we train, indoors or outdoors, he can always come up with a challenging yet enjoyable workout routine. The most important thing about our sessions is that I come away feeling like I have worked hard.
We cover a wide variety of exercises during our sessions, mainly concentrating on circuit training and plyometrics (power exercises). Sometimes we do some cardio work and boxing / kickboxing drills just to mix things up a bit but each session we go through a comprehensive warm up and warm down routine and I can safely say that to this day I have never received an injury.
As you would expect, Rob’s knowledge about the subject is first rate and I know I will always get a sensible and safe answer to any query I might have. I don’t have to wait to ask him in person either, Rob is always available via email or mobile phone."

"I first met Rob whilst shopping in Sainsbury’s in Guildford. I saw him wearing what looked like a fitness website T-shirt. I had been thinking about using a Personal Trainer to help me shift my stubborn stone so, rather than accosting him in an inappropriate way, I took a note of the www and looked Rob up.
We have been training together twice a week and my thighs and upper arms have definitely improved. We usually do a combination of weights, gym ball, circuits, boxing / kickboxing and running either in the local park and/or my garden and indoor gym room.
The really great thing about Rob is that he knows my boredom threshold is very low when it comes to exercise. As a result, Rob always varies the routines and exercises so that the workout is not predictable. He is also technically very good, as he knows numerous ways to adjust stretches, weights and exercises to accommodate my level of fitness and goals."

"After my previous personal trainer quit to go travelling, I wanted a new trainer and I was keen to train outside to get some fresh air. I had a look on google and found Rob and thought I would give training in Stoke Park Guildford with him a go.
I have been training with Rob once a week before work. We meet up in Stoke Park and do short runs all over the park stopping to do some boxing, kickboxing and circuit work. It is definitely helping me to get back into the training and I am now working towards a half marathon and a few triathlons in the spring/summer as well as keeping any excess weight from creeping on!"
Royal Marines Reserve - Phase 1 and 2 Recruits and Commando Trained Ranks
Phase 1 - "Marine Dale swiftly introduced us to the military style of fitness training and builds our fitness levels quickly by using indoor and outdoor circuits, different length runs, physical tests and by teaching us how to climb ropes. He is always available after the sessions to answer any questions we might have on nutrition, injuries and the training we should be doing in our own time."
Phase 2 - "Marine Dale has helped me to prepare for my Commando tests both mentally and physically by pushing me to my limits. He has increased the intensity of the circuit training and has trained me to run speed marches, climb the ropes and perform fireman's carries with the required 31lbs of weight on my back. I now have a lot of confidence in my abilities for my course and I hope to pass all the tests first time to earn the coveted green beret that I have been training so long for."
Marines - "Rob is a very good PTI and can adjust the training for any exercise level. He trains the potential recruits in Holding Troop and the two different phases of recruit physical training. When he is not training the recruits he also keeps us on our toes and does similar training with us. He takes us for good weights circuits in the gym on base and performs physical tests to make sure we’re still operationally fit. He also arranges and runs the fun sport training and games that we always do on the last training night before Easter, Summer and Christmas leave and everyone enjoys these sessions."
