Outdoor Personal Training
Not all fitness progress comes from just working out in a gym. Do not bore your body (or your mind) anymore. Get outside once in a while to liven things up.
Outdoor training will help you to:
- burn lots of calories
- tone your body & lose weight
- improve your muscular and bone strength
- improve your cardiovascular (CV) system
- save money on gym fees and memberships
- get some fresh air
Outdoor Circuits
- Train at a local park and receive the full benefits of a challenging whole body workout using no equipment other then your body
- Train in a new environment and I will help you achieve your fitness goals and feel positive about yourself in a whole new and enjoyable way
- Circuits can be run on a one to one basis and for small or large groups
- Circuits can be run for all ages and abilities and can be categorised into beginners, intermediate and advanced depending on your fitness level
- I can also incorporate boxing and kickboxing exercise into the circuits to deliver a dynamic and challenging workout beneficial for developing basic self defence skills
- Local parks that can be used include Stoke Park Guildford, Sutherland Memorial Park Guildford, Guildford Canal, Surrey Hills (feel free to suggest any other locations)
- Leave your fancy gym outfits at home and wear comfortable clothes and trainers that you do not mind getting a ‘little bit’ muddy
Outdoor Walking, Running and Cycling
- If you are bored with walking or jogging on the treadmill - or cycling for hours at your gym and not going anywhere, then the great outdoors could be exactly what you are looking for
- If you need a little motivation and guidance then one to one walking, jogging or cycling will help to kick start your training and increase your all round fitness thereby helping you reach your goals
- For you and your friends, for small groups and exercise clubs who are looking to improve fitness levels then interval training and varying forms of continuous training will provide interesting and beneficial workouts
- A good training method is to run and box (I carry our drinks and boxing gear). So you run to work the legs and CV then stop to box in order to work the upper body and CV then run and box etc
- Comfortable running trainers with thick soles are recommended and bikes need to be in a safe and reliable working order
“Running cross country is the closest man will ever get to flying.” - Joseph VanderStel
I can also mix and match outdoor and home personal training. For example I can meet you at your house and go for a local jog, walk or cycle then finish of with some boxing or kickboxing one to one exercise at your house or body toning using Swiss ball and dumbbells etc.
If required I can pick you up from your house and take you to your local park and drop you off again after the session.
